Hey nfty-ites! I'm moving to New York this summer for two internships and I was wondering if there was maybe anyone who would be interested in letting me sleep on your couch for about a week or so? I'm not planning on staying anywhere too long as to not get on your nerves or anything...I'd be happy to try and chip in a little bit of money, but I don't have enough to get my own place. If you would be at all interested in hosting me for about a week (or even more), PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

I'll be in New York from approximately May 29th through August 18th, so if you or a friend are available during ANY of those weeks at all, please let me know (email me at piglet861740@yahoo.com). I would be eternally grateful!! Thank you so much for even considering it!

11:17 pm - Notice to Camp Swig Alumni
As Camp Newman/Swig moves into the future developing their beautiful site in Santa Rosa California, the time has come to bid a fond farewell to the original Camp Swig, in Saratoga, CA. The original Camp Swig site has been sold and the Union of Reform Judaism and Swig Alumni are planning to mark the occasion with a "Fond Farewell" celebration on Sunday, April 6, from 2-5pm at Camp Swig. We will sing with favorite song leaders, create new artwork with a silk-screen artist, visit sentimental Swig sites, and remind ourselves of Swig's majestic beauty and the magic of Jewish summer camp. Kids, families, friends, neighbors --anyone with a Camp Swig soft spot in their heart--is invited and encouraged to be a part of this memorable afternoon.

Please help spread the word and help us reach out to old, cherished friends. Please email Michelle November michnov23@gmail.com with your friends/contacts email addresses so we can add them to the master list we are compiling and notify them of the event. Also, we are putting together a power point that will loop showing photos, pics of t-shirts, posters, CIT stuff, camper letters home, anything "Swig". Please forward Michelle anything you might have.

Hey NFTY! (I represent CWR!) I am working on an art project about the book "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" by Judy Blume. This book had a huge impact on my growing up Jewish, suburban and female. Did it change growing up for you? If so, please fill out this short questionnaire. If you have any questions or comments, or, if you would like a collection of excerpts to jog your memory, feel free to e-mail me at pocketsbuttons@gmail.com . thanks- lauren.

Hey Kids!

My mom is working on a dinner honoring Mark and Peachy Levy, members of our temple who are incredibly generous with things like camp scholarships. As part of the dinner, she wants to show pictures of kids at jewish summer camps, presumably there on scholarship from the Levys.

I would really appreciate it if you could send me (in digital form, obviously) any such photos you might have. If you went to a UAHC/URJ camp, but not on a Levy scholarship, send me the photos anyway if you can, and just let me know. I may use them as backups.

If you have any other friends you think may have photos I could use for this, please pass this along to them. The idea is to get 100 photos of kids at jewish camps.

05:43 pm - Pass The Kiss
Last night at a TYG event my friend kissed me on the cheek, and of course my first reaction was to "pass the kiss", in try NFTY style.  Only problem was that the guy on my other side is literally almost a foot taller than me, and I couldn't reach him, even on my tippietoes.

Okay, so it's not that great of a story, but I felt that someone needed to post something in this community.

If any of you are ever in NYC or live in NYC, you guys should go see Jewtopia. It is hillarious. And, for those old school kutzies out there, I ran into Adam Arian, the old theater teacher. Hes in I love you, You're perfect, now die. You guys should see that too.
